OUR FLEET
Our balloon fleet consists of three different aircraft. Balloons come in all different sizes and can serve different purposes depending on what type of flying you're doing. The larger the balloon or envelope size, the more weight or passengers it will carry. We limit the size of our balloons to a maximum of six people plus the pilot. It is our firm belief that smaller balloons are not only safer and more maneuverable, but provide a more customized and intimate experience. Too many in the industry are only concerned with volume, we are all about providing the highest quality experience. We fly only the best equipment in the industry and all our aircraft are meticulously inspected every year by an FAA certified balloon repair station.
Recently added to the fleet, our flagship aircraft ‘CAVU’ (Clear And Visibility Unlimited) is a 180,000 cubic ft by volume balloon that can carry up to eight passengers. It is our main ride balloon and is most likely the aircraft you will be in when flying with us.
Our other aircraft is a 105,000 cubic ft by volume balloon named “Scout” It can fly 2-3 passengers plus the pilot. We use this balloon for couples wanting an exclusive flight or if we only have 2-3 passengers. Scout is also used for scouting out new flight areas, adventure flights, and can be hired out for private functions.
The iconic RE/MAX Balloon is one of the most recognized corporate brands in the world due in large part to the hot air balloons bearing its name. Big Sky Balloon Co. is the head operator in charge of the RE/MAX Balloon Program in the Pacific Northwest and can be seen flying at various balloon festivals and events through out the region.
